I will live to love You. I will live to bring You praise. I will live a child in awe of You. You alone are God of all. You alone are worthy Lord. In my heart I pray You'd let Your will be done. And 'til I see You face to face and grace amazing takes me home, I'll trust in You. --- 'Til I see You | Hillsong

Palm Sunday

05April'09 is Palm Sunday. :)) and we went to church at around 10:00am and the mass ended at around 11:30am. the message by Pst. Joby Soriano was so goooood. :) ubergood. i really liked it, LOVED it. it was nice that i came. the message was somehow related to me and maybe also for everyone else. it was on how you can fight with the 'real battles' in your life. :) the first time Pst. Joby said the words 'fighting your battles', it really caught me. i thought about all my problems. :/:)) especially my GRADES in school. :)))))
---
The title was uh, "Winning your battles in Life".
---
there were three points that Pst. Joby discussed:
---
1. wRong Battle
- People
2. Real Battle
- Say "NO" to Sin, Saving Soul
3. Right Weapons for Winning
- Faith in God
- His Words
- Prayer
---
- (pt.1) Sometimes you fight for something that isn't really worth it all. For example, you say something bad to someone or you try to insult them or talk to their backs, but do you get anything from it in the end? you don't get any prize or anything that will make you feel any good. the point is, if it is not worth fighting for, stop it!! you shout or get mad at someone, but do you get anything from it? none at all. you can talk to them with peace and love, which is a better and easier way so there is understanding. i admit to myself that i am sometimes like this, i usually or NORMALLY get mad or backstab someone, and now, i'll do my best to prevent myself from doing it. :)
---
- (pt.2) The Real Battle/s are the things that are spiritually related or the things you know that are worth it or you get a prize or something from it which are the battles that are worth fighting for. A real battle is when you focus on the battle you are fighting, you don't get distracted from other things that may stop you from fighting on your battle. You must learn to say "NO" from the things that will distract you to get what you're aiming for, that will lead you on the wrong path. An exmaple from the Bible is 'David and Goliath'. When David knew that there was a prize on whoever can defeat Goliath, he went for it. He fought with Goliath even his brother wanted to distract him. He just walked out and didn't say anything to his brother. He just ignored the things his brother told him because he believed in himself and in God.
---
- (pt.3) Faith in God is like believing that you can fly even you can't because when you put yourself in a plane, you yield with the planes power to fly and you can feel the power to fly. another thing is like when you want to run 100km/hr. but you can't, but if you put yourself in a car and yield on its power, you can run 100km/hr. it's like putting youself in God. putting yourself and life to His, that you have faith in Him. so when you have that faith on Him, you can acquire the power He has, the strenght He has and so on. you just need to put your faith on Him, on whatever you are facing, His presence will always be there. His Words are our strength, our guidance. And prayer is something we can do to talk to Him. to tell Him everything we want to and we all know that He listens.

Some verses i really liked:
---
` Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
` Exodus 14:14 The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.
` 1 Samuel 17:47 All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give all of you into our hands.
